The Systems-Oriented SMGI® Practitioner Behind BodyWise Mind

Where science, somatics, and the subconscious come together to heal what talk alone cannot.

I work with thoughtful, high-functioning professionals who understand themselves well, yet still find certain patterns, reactions, or behaviours repeating under pressure.

Having spent my own career in engineering and project management before discovering SMGI®, I understand the frustration of knowing what needs to change while finding that insight alone is not enough.

Today, through BodyWise Mind, I use SMGI® (Somatic Mindful Guided Imagery®) to support body-mind-subconscious integration, helping clients move beyond patterns that remain unchanged by awareness, logic, or willpower.

Who I help

Who This Work Is For

I work with capable, thoughtful people who have spent years taking responsibility, solving problems, and doing what needs to be done.

Many have invested in coaching, therapy, mindfulness, leadership development, or personal growth. They understand their patterns. They know their triggers. Yet under pressure, the same automatic responses continue to appear.

Some find themselves constantly proving their capability. Others struggle to switch off, set boundaries, speak up, trust themselves, or fully enjoy the success they have worked so hard to create.

They are not looking for more information about themselves.

They are looking for a deeper level of integration.

My Journey

The Journey That Shaped
My Work Today

My professional background is in structural engineering and project management, working across five countries in complex and demanding environments.

Alongside my career, I was always fascinated by a different kind of system: the human body, mind, and the patterns that shape how we think, feel, and respond to life.

Over the years, I studied strategic psychotherapy, clinical hypnosis, Ayurveda, yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, and neuroscience, exploring each with the same curiosity and rigour I brought to engineering.

What became increasingly clear was that understanding ourselves and changing ourselves are not always the same thing.

Then I experienced SMGI® with Gina Vance, the creator of the methodology.

What I experienced felt fundamentally different from anything I had encountered before. Not because I gained another insight, but because something shifted without effort.

I spent the next two years studying the neuroscience behind what I had experienced and eventually trained under Gina as an SMGI® practitioner.

Today, BodyWise Mind brings together systems thinking, Eastern wisdom, Western neuroscience, and a deep respect for the intelligence that exists within every person.

The BodyWise Mind Approach

My Approach

Non-Judgement

I do not see people as broken, damaged, or in need of fixing. Every response, pattern, or strategy once served a purpose. My role is not to judge it, but to create the conditions for deeper understanding and integration.

Your System Leads

I do not decide what needs to change or in what order. In SMGI®, the client's own intelligence leads the process. My role is to create the safety and support for that intelligence to reveal itself.

Agency Matters

The goal is not dependence on me or on a method. The goal is greater trust in your own inner wisdom, so that change comes from within rather than from external direction.
